Lina Vargas De La Hoz

Close-up view of inflated latex material emphasizing surface tension and volume.
Sculptural object composed of inflated white latex gloves arranged in a clustered formation.

Medical latex gloves are manipulated into sculptural forms. The gloves are stretched, inflated, knotted, and detached from their original protective and functional purpose. Elasticity, tension, air pressure, and material fatigue determine the resulting volumes and surfaces. Skin becomes visible as a temporary envelope, as a boundary, and as a projection surface between inside and outside.
