A portable textile structure is worn as clothing and unfolded into a temporary shelter within public space.
The object oscillates between coat, tent, and mobile refuge.
In contrast to earlier works in the series, Umzug_New Generation expands the notion of space to include digital and mediated dimensions.
The body operates not only physically within the urban environment, but remains connected to distant places, people, and working contexts through mobile technologies.
Movement, surroundings, and use determine the object’s form at any given moment.
The shelter emerges situationally — through stopping, unfolding, and inhabiting.
The work reveals a transformed understanding of belonging:
“Home” is no longer a fixed location, but a temporary constellation of body, material, communication, and context.
